H.R. 2745 would require that the UN make 46 reforms, including cutting the public information budget by 20 percent, establishing an independent oversight board and an ethics office, and denying countries that violate human rights from serving on human rights commissions.  If the UN fails to implement these 46 reforms, the U.S. would withhold ONE-HALF of its UN dues. 

Following our victory in the House of Representatives, where H.R. 2745 passed by an overwhelming vote of 221-184, we are preparing to fight for passage of this legislation in the Senate.  Your Citizen Co-Sponsorship is exactly the type of hard evidence of public support that we need to push the Senate to follow the House’s lead and enact this very powerful UN Reform Act.
